Thai steak with spicy shallot sauce











Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1-2 lime (juiced)
  • 2 shallots (chopped)
  • 2 Tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 lbs steak
  • coconut oil (optional)
  • ground ginger, salt , pepper (optional)



  1. saute shallots in coconut oil till soft
  2. add fish sauce, lime juice, soy sauce and red pepper flakes
  3. keep warm over low heat.

  1. season steak (ground ginger, salt and pepper)
  2. saute in coconut oil about 15 minutes or until desired doneness
  3. slice thin and serve with rice and sauce


Sorry but no pictures this time, it was all gone before I remembered, but it was different and delicious.

*you should be able to taste the fish sauce and lime and it is a bit spicy.
